Indigenous people are the foundation of this country, and they have always been taken advantage of and mistreated from the beginning of our history.
 
Whether it be colonization, poisoning of their ecosystems, or even the water and housing crisis happening in Hawaii right now, they deserve much more than we, as a country, have given them.
 
Bears are symbols of strength and wisdom - strength to fight for their way of life. To have the strength to continue moving forward, preserving their cultures, and continuing the fight to protect the planet. And to have the wisdom to try to restore the balance between community and nature.
 
Our country has stood on the backs of the native communities from the beginning instead of learning from them and living in sync with nature.
